Here's what you do, Jilli, You set up a framework, where everyones has a pinterest board or one those web 2.714 solutions. You have a basic picture of your flient (that's like a friend and a client, but mostly client right now) and they take pictures of their WHOLE wardrobe. If there are pieces of clothing for which they have feels--let them note said feels. But only 5% have feels. And all feels means is that you'll consider that more closely for ditching or keeping. SO make those words count.
And then they present you their digital closet, a magic wand, absinthe for afters, and executive fiat. You flip through them--toss what needs to be tossed, give them tips on else to wear what they're keeping, and then see what pieces (from your ever-expanding Mary Poppins bag of everyone else's "nos: you can help them with, otherwise, guide them to the right store.
I could not love ita ! more right now. Except I need more wiggle room for feels. I have a lot of feels.
ita !'s like an elf or a witch or somebody who's really clever.
All this talk about Fassbender reminds me that the first thing I saw him in was Hex. How funny is that?
I wish I could figure out a particular style. In the winter it's mostly jeans, sweaters, and boots, and in the summer it's a little more boho, with gauzy shirts and sundresses and brighter colors and very little official footwear. But then in spring I can do very Audrey Hepburn-esque -- white shirt, black ankle pants, etc.
Sometimes I would love to dress like Diane Lane in Unfaithful. And the rest of the time I think I'd be better off imitating Ellen's style.
That's not where everyone saw him first?

I like fairly classic style but in darks, with a hint of...dark and a touch of weird. I usually get eccentric with only my earrings and that's only eccentric because they are all from artisans, not mass manufactures. And funky shoes. Or just interesting shoes. My nonwork clothes are boringly utilitarian: jeans, shorts, tshirts, fleece, tanks.
How hard is it to add sleeves to an already-finished garment, on a scale from shockingly easier than you'd expect to tears and recriminations?
Somewhere in between but possibly closer to the tears? I take it you are doing this without a pattern? Figuring that out is likely to suck.
ita_!, you are a genius! Now I need to figure out where my free time is, because I really want to do that.

Tears and recriminations. Sleeves are HARD.
But this conversation also reminds me that Speigel sent me a "special invitation" email asking if I'd be interested in becoming an Independent Fashion Consultant. I need to go fill out the survey thing and tell them yes.
