Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I could not love ita ! more right now. Except I need more wiggle room for feels. I have a lot of feels.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

All this talk about Fassbender reminds me that the first thing I saw him in was Hex. How funny is that?

Because books.

I wish I could figure out a particular style. In the winter it's mostly jeans, sweaters, and boots, and in the summer it's a little more boho, with gauzy shirts and sundresses and brighter colors and very little official footwear. But then in spring I can do very Audrey Hepburn-esque -- white shirt, black ankle pants, etc.

Sometimes I would love to dress like Diane Lane in Unfaithful. And the rest of the time I think I'd be better off imitating Ellen's style.

That's not where everyone saw him first?

I like fairly classic style but in darks, with a hint of...dark and a touch of weird. I usually get eccentric with only my earrings and that's only eccentric because they are all from artisans, not mass manufactures. And funky shoes. Or just interesting shoes. My nonwork clothes are boringly utilitarian: jeans, shorts, tshirts, fleece, tanks.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

How hard is it to add sleeves to an already-finished garment, on a scale from shockingly easier than you'd expect to tears and recriminations?

Somewhere in between but possibly closer to the tears? I take it you are doing this without a pattern? Figuring that out is likely to suck.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

ita_!, you are a genius! Now I need to figure out where my free time is, because I really want to do that.

Tears and recriminations. Sleeves are HARD.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

But this conversation also reminds me that Speigel sent me a "special invitation" email asking if I'd be interested in becoming an Independent Fashion Consultant. I need to go fill out the survey thing and tell them yes.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

ita's plan is brilliant! srsly.

So my daughter looked at the links I had open to the tunic and the corsets. She said I did not need the tunic, but opined that I really should get one of the steampunk corsets. Which frankly I'd love, if it weren't for the massive wardrobe overhaul it would entail. But I love that girl's fashion sense. It's so true to her bliss.

What I need to get this summer is a new swim suit and a good rash guard and some serviceable shorts. We're going to Hawaii this summer! Woot!
