All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

How hard is it to add sleeves to an already-finished garment, on a scale from shockingly easier than you'd expect to tears and recriminations?

Somewhere in between but possibly closer to the tears? I take it you are doing this without a pattern? Figuring that out is likely to suck.

ita_!, you are a genius! Now I need to figure out where my free time is, because I really want to do that.

Tears and recriminations. Sleeves are HARD.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

But this conversation also reminds me that Speigel sent me a "special invitation" email asking if I'd be interested in becoming an Independent Fashion Consultant. I need to go fill out the survey thing and tell them yes.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

ita's plan is brilliant! srsly.

So my daughter looked at the links I had open to the tunic and the corsets. She said I did not need the tunic, but opined that I really should get one of the steampunk corsets. Which frankly I'd love, if it weren't for the massive wardrobe overhaul it would entail. But I love that girl's fashion sense. It's so true to her bliss.

What I need to get this summer is a new swim suit and a good rash guard and some serviceable shorts. We're going to Hawaii this summer! Woot!

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Last summer I said "To hell with it" and began wearing tank tops. It's hot here. I need air flow. The world may gaze in horror on my fat arms to its contents

Look on my arm flab, you skinny, and despair!

FUCK YEAH. My giant hams of upper arms are on display probably 5 of 7 days once we are in the April-October zone. Sleeveless dresses in the heat and humidity are sent from the heavens and I now own like a dozen of them and wear the hell out of them for work and play. (OMG, I just bought this dress from Voluptuous Vixen and I looooove it)

I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who ever gave a shit about what my naked arms looked like, and now I don't care.

I wear a lot more fun stuff now that I don't feel like I need to cover my fat in repentant yards of clothing.

Stayed up too late and even in my dark, cool bedroom, couldn't sleep past 7. Hell, I woke up first at 6. Cats didn't help, but did remain annoying only by trying to sneak in cuddles once they found me stirring.

Alrighty then.

Our wings are not tired.

That is a fabulous dress, Nora. Totally with you on the arms. Tropical climate requires breathable fabrics and minimal amounts thereof.

Good morning, sarameg. Yeah, I think I will sleep in when I am up late, but it doesn't happen.

Yeah, more coffee now.

My city is on a boil water decree last I heard. Of course I found that out after I thought I had food poisoning. I guess to be careful I will just use bottled water in the coffee pot.

Uhg, Laura.

Dog got off leash outside and into it with another dog. Of course, I learned that was after I heard screaming and so ran out in my bathrobe with the phone, prepared to call 911. Luckily, the owners are working it out, and the victim dog isn't badly hurt, exchanging numbers, etc. Unfortunately, the aggressor dog is a pit, and a nursing one at that, so I don't see this ending well. I really really wish people who get pits with the best of intentions around here would fully train/restrain them.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I think Jilli could charge more than absinthe for a service like that.

I have a style in my brain that my body can't support.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ugh, it's so beautiful outside, and I'm supposed to be cleaning house, and all I'm doing is sitting on my ass! So neither enjoying the weather NOR taking care of business.
