Then there's the guy who forged a wedding ring by hand... from a meteorite!
That was impressive. Made me think of Sokka's Space Sword.

Yay Liese, for fighting the good fight!
And yay msbelle for finding money waiting to be deposited. Extra money is always useful.
In my retail news from the week: I dithered too long and they were out of last holiday's OPI Best of the Best mini polish kit at the first Ulta I went to. But! I dithered just long enough, so I got it at the second Ulta, but for five bucks off, whoot. Forgot to buy the Zoya Remove, though.
I also bought what I thought was a great deal at TJ Maxx, the travel mug/french press I've been wanting. Only it isn't. It's just a french press. Now, it'll be better to have it, because it's plastic and insulated and will be good for travel. But it is not an all-in-one mug. Pout. So no wonder it was so much cheaper. And now I still have to buy the mug.
I retailed therapied at Target last night and bought really only stuff I needed, plus cute plastic plate, bowl and cup to keep t work.
Earlier this week I bought this: [link] and 2 other prints from them.
More useful info on "traditional marriage."
Critics of same-sex marriage often argue that its defenders are guilty of seeking to “redefine” marriage.
It is true that the term “marriage” has traditionally been applied, for the most part, to heterosexual unions specifically (though often polygamous ones, a fact such critics persistently pretend to overlook). But it is also true that the term “marriage” has traditionally been applied exclusively to relationships in which the husband held legal authority over the wife – relationships in which the wife was not only subordinated to her husband but actually absorbed into his legal identity.
If we are going to appeal to traditional usage to deny that same-sex partnerships are genuine marriages, then by the same argument we will have to deny that relationships between legal equals can count as marriages. In the traditional meaning of “marriage,” then, there are no married couples in the United States today.

Solomon had 700 wives and 300 concubines. He outdid his father, David, who had 8+ wives and a number of concubines. His mother was Bathsheba, who committed adultery with David, and David then sent her husband to the front lines to be killed. We haven't even gotten into the incest and fratricide yet.
Ain't traditional marriage grand?
I seriously want to punch MS Excel in the nose. This is increasingly my reaction with every.single.interaction I have with it after the last 2 upgrades. Why did they have to take all the intuitive functional aspects of gui-based spreadsheets AWAY?!!!!
I'm trying to move most of mine to google docs, but for some, I just can't.
Point me in the direction of something that needs smashing.
