Yes, apparently she just applied for and got citizenship (her husband is a dual citizen? Or was eligible for it? So she was too). I have no idea WHY, but it seems a very anti-American thing to do IF YOU"RE ALL ABOUT HOW MUCH YOU LOVE AMERICA! (In general I have no issue with dual citizenship)
Huh. If Obama spent three days in Switzerland, he'd get lambasted as a hippie-socialist-European-wannabe. I'm sure Bachmann's citizenship games will be praised for finding a way around onerous, unreasonable US taxation.
amych, I know I am not alone in appreciation for the battle you and so many others waged on the ground in NC. I'm sorry. I am sure it is that much harder for those witnessing the disappointment locally.
wrod. Been there, amych. *I* can say "Fuck Arizona," and I do quite a lot, but screw you, if you say that after a layover at Sky Harbor. I'm so happy to provide you your little Good N. Evil fix for the day.(Although I probably used to do that to y'all Southerners before we went all nouveau Confederate and all. If I did, I'm really sorry.)
Dude, I
totally
had a layover at Sky Harbor that one time!
hugs on all the good people of NC.
Y'ALL!!! I cannot find a home for Mr. Ralph Stanley! It is unpossible that no one at my offices wants this dog.
I am not convinced Bachman is human.
Switzerland is renowned for its intricate clockworks and automatons...
Everyone does.
Or stops for gas.
That is literally the first thing I hear when I say I'm from here.
Although, probably not anymore.
Never thought I'd want to be just hot and boring again.
I need spoons. Because we were going to London, a volunteer took the phone we use for my lost dog, and she had two people call today with solid sightings and has set up a track with the search and rescue dog tomorrow to try and confirm. It's been 5 months since we've had a sighting.
A quote for those who don't like working in groups:
"Nothing destroys a good idea faster than a mandatory consensus. The lowest common denominator is never a high standard."
This quote comes from Forbes contributing writer Jessica Hagy who suggests that nothing kills a good idea like a committee. While it is important to listen to others, too much advice on how to make something more appealing usually involves dumbing it down quite a bit. If you really believe in your idea and what you want to accomplish, stick to your guns where it's important.
