Xander: I do have Spaghetti-os. Set 'em on top of the dryer and you're a fluff cycle away from lukewarm goodness. Riley: I, uh, had dryer-food for lunch.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I saw a youtube video over the weekend where they interviewed people in PA or OH at a Romney rally and these folks were complete idiots.

OMG I saw that too. It was jaw-dropping. I particularly loved the bit where the guys was all, "Buddhists! We don't like them!" And the interviewer was all O_O

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Oh Allyson,

been there done that, have no gall bladder any more. I don't envy you. The worst pain I have ever experienced in my life.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Okay, fivethirtyeight was updated at 11:30 pm, and has Obama at 315 EV and 92% probability. And Ohio is colored fairly dark blue and Florida is LIGHT BLUE.

Maybe I can go to bed.

Our wings are not tired.

I don't get voting against your self-interest.

I completely understand what you're saying here. I actually want to take this a step further and say that we shouldn't necessarily vote in our self-interest. We should be voting in our country's best interest. I mean, listen. I am single. I am not gay. I have no children or elderly dependents. I own a home. I make a fair amount of money.

I vote against "MY" interest because I strongly believe that I am not the center of the fucking universe. I vote for higher taxes for myself. I'd EVEN vote to get rid of the mortgage deduction IF it assured better schools for OTHER people's kids. I vote for marriage equality because other people should have the right to marry whomever they want.

So, what I am saying is that I often vote for thing thing that is going to require more money from me. Because it's the fucking right thing to do as a member of this country that I do love.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

What if Nate Silver is just trolling us?!?!?!

If Florida goes blue I'll pee.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

And Ohio is colored fairly dark blue and Florida is LIGHT BLUE.

I don't think he's going to get Florida because STILL BITTER ABOUT 2000 AND THE CHEATING CHEATERS WHO CHEAT.

But I think Obama's going to get Ohio, Nevada, Virginia, Iowa and Wisconsin. And maybe Colorado. But that should be enough.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

So that's a problem, I guess. Fucking aging.

Right? I am way older in more ways than physically than I was in 1992. And I am way more jaded and disgusted with the idea that my vote actually counts than I was in 2000. It gets complicated.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

java, I am with you - and mostly entirely like you, as far as demographics - but I don't think it's the same thing. Like, if I lose the mortgage deduction that'll suck, but it won't ruin me. That's not the same as voting for someone who'll take away my health insurance or my right to have birth control, or a long list of important things that I actually need, the loss of which will significantly negatively impact my life.

Our wings are not tired.

No, I totally get the difference. What I am saying is that it's sad that people not only vote against their *own* betterment, but against the betterment of the lives of others. Make sense?

My Texan cousin's extended family (mostly his wife's family) over the years has had all kinds of state and Federal assistance (which I support). And yet, "them illegals is ruining the country! And those welfare people need to get to work!"

It's mind-boggling.
