This isn't a come-on. I'm in a very serious relationship with a landscape architect.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Happy Halloween, my Buffistas!

I have successfully startled some co-workers with my messy-eater vampire outfit, and tonight Pete and I are going to see Wicked.

information libertarian

Dillo has been such a pill since last night - borderline sick, I suspect, although I sent him to school today to increase his chances of living through the day - that I am so not looking forward to Halloween. It will basically be a fight over how much candy they can eat.

"...and then Legolas and the Hulk destroy the entire Greek army." - Penny Arcade

Celebrity costumes. Nothing too special, except it includes Allyson Hannigan(who I understand we like around here) trick-or-treating with (I assume) her daughter.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

academic paper proves with math that vampires do not exist.

[link]

money quote: "We conclude that if the first vampire appeared on January 1st of 1600 AD, humanity would have been wiped out by June of 1602, two and half years later"

Assumptions for the math: that vampires feed once a month and that when they feed, a human dies and a vampire is created.

Suffice it to say, I am not sure I agree with those assumptions (I'd assume more frequent feeding and that humans might just flat out die and not resurrect as a vampire), but that would shorten the projects of humanity wipe out, not lengthen.
