MONKEYPOX!! A Pox on all your Monkeys!
I am at work today. People are at my house cutting down trees. I need to get through a lot today, and I think the only way I will come close is by forcing myself to believe that I will only get the yummy yummy thai food lunch if I have made a significant dent by lunch time. damn! that is 2 hours, I better get cracking.
Between that, and the words "propane" and "Yemen" making me giggle thanks to Too Much TV, I am sometimes so glad I didn't go into broadcast. Phil Griffin would totes not think "I mock you with my monkeypox," is funny. I would get fired All The Time and it wouldn't be for any brave stand, either.
Monkey see; monkey do. Monkeypox all over you!
It turned out it was bedbugs, which frankly I'd be more alarmed at.
An excellent xkcd comic about cancer: [link]
erika, anyone who doesn't laugh at "I mock you with my monkeypox," doesn't deserve to laugh.
Meanwhile, I think Frankenbuddha just gave me the Buffista version of the dread lurgy.
I woke up this AM so cozy in bed to the sound of rain beating down on my roof. It would have been a perfect day to stay in bed and read. But out in the rain and wind I went...and it seems like my brain stayed home.
I have new boots. I did not come to Spain intending to buy new boots. However, my feet were so fucking cold and shoes soggy after an hour in Avila, I just broke down. 50 EU, which honestly what I'd spend in the states.
Less than ideal to break new boots in on say, oh the city walls around Avila, however my only complaints stem from the fact that my feet have been aching for six days already. Hurt less than the sketchers, and were WARM AND DRY. And they are even made in Spain! So I feel less of a dork in that all I've purchased outside of food and lodging is a cheap umbrella and some earrings I might not be able to wear. I have Spanish Botas!
Anyway, the weather still sucks, but I have an umbrella and spent the day in Avila. Was probably one of only three people who braved the wall. I imagine the distance view is amazing when there isn't a cloud ceiling, but even so, not bad.
Waiting to put everything on flickr because currently am on my work machine and well, hotel wifi, so being sparing with that load.
A little old spanish man tried to adopt me. I'm not sure the last time I had my cheeks & chin pinched like that. Ohhkay.
