I just think it's rather odd that a nation that prides itself on its virility should feel compelled to strap on forty pounds of protective gear just in order to play rugby.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

The Crescent® wrench people fought a valiant but futile battle.

Too descriptive! This is why every new product is called CorMaxAble.

Apparently having your head tilted back helps cut down on clenching.

That means you have to sleep on your back? You know, now I wonder if I started clenching when I stopped sleeping on my back. Also, does the fact that I've been remembering a lot of dreams recently mean that I haven't been sleeping well? I have a lot of questions about sleep.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Sexy Halloween costumes have gone too far.

Sexy Bert and Ernie Halloween Costumes

MAN those are stupid. Neither Bert nor Ernie wears suspenders or overalls. Duh.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I don't use the computerized system voice at all.

That's the degree of anonymity that leaves me feeling lost. If I've never spoken to you at this number I very rarely leave a message.

I know our mandated (why did I get suckered into doing this when other people in my position don't?) practice of having the date in our message (therefore changing every morning) is a bit OTT, at least you have an idea of the pulse at the other end of the line.

The friend of mine who actually successfully guilts me into playing a move every week in Scrabble says the computer pulled him a hand of IAM ITA and he's been weirded out ever since, and wants to know if I'm dead and in the tubes.

Always Anti-fascist!

I did not know "crescent wrench" was a brand. I believe the thought in synthesizing cocaine was similar, Scola. Also a huge lie.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Anyone follow EveryBlock?

Apparently there was a bad fire on my block that started a few hours ago.

I don't think it was my apartment building....

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Yeah, someone posted:

It was a big fire on the 1400 block of Jarvis, one of the old homes that had not been taken care of very well. Didn't look like there was anyone inside but there was lots of smoke and a good amount of flames as well. I'll let you know if I find out anything else.

That doesn't sound like my building.

Yikes Tommy--reminds me of the other day, I was reading the new Seattle police twitter feeds, and there were two reports of breakins at like, 2pm at the other end of the block from my house. I was worried I'd come home and have been robbed!

Apparently having your head tilted back helps cut down on clenching.

What Jesse said--do I have to sleep on my back for that? I sometimes wake up sleeping on my back, but usually I'm a side sleeper.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Well, we had gotten tickets to today's playoff game when they were made available. Then we found out when the game was(1 pm. No, we didn't go.) Ah, well.

Still, scary. I've come home to firetrucks on my block, but again, luckily not for my building.
