But I understand. You gave up everything you had to find me. And you found me broken. It's hard for you.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Color me unsurprised that basing my vacation requests on the project schedule I had as of Monday resulted in the client deciding to change the workflow this morning.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

You guys, did you know heroin was originally a brand name???? [link] (down toward the end) I don't know why I think that's so fascinating.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Yep, heroin was originally marketed as a safer, less addictive alternative to morphine. (They were lying).

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Wasn't heroin prescribed for cocaine addiction?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Well, in heroin's defense, it does stop your morphine cravings.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Another surprising to me former brand name: granola! So I guess Kimberly-Clark is right to try to maintain Kleenex(tm)(c)(R).

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My sister is unfazed by the delay to Community, because she'll need to rewatch the whole thing once she finishes it the first time (she's on S3 now).

Good lord. Her privilege is disgusting.

Alright, back to prepping for the CIO meeting.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Anyone have magic solutions to make me stop clenching my jaw in the night?

One thing recommended by my TMJ therapist that seems to help is sleeping with some kind pillow roll under your neck. He just put rubber bands around a soft pillow, but a roll pillow or an ergonomic neck support pillow works. Apparently having your head tilted back helps cut down on clenching.

So I guess Kimberly-Clark is right to try to maintain Kleenex(tm)(c)(R).

The Crescent® wrench people fought a valiant but futile battle.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

ita,

yes that is correct: I always have my phone in my voicemails. I don't use the computerized system voice at all.
