Tara: What's so bad about them coming here? Aren't they good guys? I mean, Watchers, that's just like whole other Gileses, right? Buffy: Yes! They're scary and horrible!

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Yeah. Or editing something. No one cares if the commas are in the right place.

True dat.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Or they care TOO much -- don't get me started on the woman who gave me a lecture about how their department doesn't use the serial comma, when the stuff they had given me was riddled with them. RIDDLED.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

The people who are supposed to maintain this information don't. I get better data from fansites than I do from our own staff. It's ridiculous.

Also, GO As! Yay!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

You ever spend a lot of time and energy pulling something together, and badgering people for information--just to realize that nobody actually cares if you have updated all that information in a much cleaner and more accurate database?

With me it's usually people not remembering or caring that I have access to cleaner, quicker and more accurate databases,

I'm sorry, crazy Russian dude, my company is not required to maintain support for the software we issued in 2000. And it won't install on your Win 7 machine anyway.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Yeah. It's the Sukkot version of the mitzvah tanks. I avoid them -- I don't need the guilt trip.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

My son's homework tonight includes watching the debates. He's in second grade. My daughter's homework does not. She's in 4th. But luckily for her, she'll watch them since he's watching. I guess that means I'm watching too.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Watching Jon Stewart greet Liam Neeson in last night's show, and I think it's so funny that he actually talked on the show about how he finally figured out to walk over to the edge of the platform to shake hands while the guest is still a step down. Smart that he did it, silly that he called it out.
