You know, it's funny. We went to war never looking to come back, but it's the real world I couldn't survive.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

eta: Some of the Tim Burton costumes are kinda' cool.

I have very mixed feelings about the "sexy girl" Beetlejuice costume. VERY MIXED.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

You ever spend a lot of time and energy pulling something together, and badgering people for information--just to realize that nobody actually cares if you have updated all that information in a much cleaner and more accurate database?

Sigh.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Julie, which article did you read that refers to the Planned Parenthood fake abortion scam?

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Shaking my head at the costumes. There are a few decent ones in there, but it seems that most of the women's costumes are of the "sexy" type.(Like the last several years...sigh)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Sorry, Suela.

Although, speaking of databases, someone in our IT department finally fixed a database issue that has meant I haven't been able to submit a support ticket in years, if ever. I love our IT department. I mean, granted, several other people tried to fix this in the past, but the two guys I talked to this week (for a couple of different things) were so nice and helpful! Even though they coudn't see my full screen.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Suela, I had no idea you and I worked for the same people. Clearly we should plan ourselves a 3-martini lunch someday.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Oh, geez. The American Horror Story rubber man will totally be a thing this year, won't it?

Sluttiest and Weirdest Store-Bought Halloween Costumes for 2012

Are Jem and the Holograms making a comeback?

(Relatedly, in high school chemistry [so, uh, 26 years ago, HOLY CRAP], one of my friends made a periodic table joke about Jem and the Halogens, and that is how I always think of Jem and her band, ever since then. I mean that when I asked the question above, the first thing I typed was "Jem and the Halogens," and it looked totally normal to me.)

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Yeah. Or editing something. No one cares if the commas are in the right place.
