A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

And here I was just happy I'm wearing my Frye boots (with the 1" heel) with jeans tucked into them for the first time...

Oh, I would love Frye boots! (I got these boots for $19.00, and free shipping both ways, if it didn't fit or I didn't like. But it fit great in the calf: I've had a real problem with that in most boots when I was near or at my heaviest. I think a 16' calf, maybe a little bigger.Fit true to size.)

Yay, Stephanie and your friend! That's exciting.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Maybe that helps explain why this is the order:

I was totally right about the top and bottom of the list. Because people who like rai really like her, and I bet most people don't know who cook is by name.

ION, I'm getting sick of having anxiety attacks over random and/or perfectly normal things. Also, today for about three hours I felt *great*. WTF was that about.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

What Would Jesse Do bracelet

These should really be more popular.

Also, today for about three hours I felt *great*. WTF was that about.

A little reminder that it exists?

hip deep in pie

aishwarya rai

She was in the news this summer because she was being criticized for taking a long time to lose weight after having a baby. So maybe that's part of the reason you were getting so many hits.

Baby wipes. Baby wipes, and a tiny bit of baking soda. That should remove it, because I've used that combo to remove Sharpie writing from my skin before.

I tried baby wipes. Didn't work. I tried Baby Wipes and Dawn. Didn't work. I tried Goo Gone (which is my standby) didn't work. I tried makeup remover. Didn't work.

What the hell is this marker made of?

I'll just exfoliate the hell out of the spot and wait. But damn.

So yesterday, while in the OR, the huntington volunteers were giving out info about spouses to married people but wouldn't give K any info about what was going with me. In spite of the fact that she is listed as my "life partner" in hospital lingo, that I designated her the person to receive info and that, on admission, I told the admissions person that she had medical power of attorney when we discussed my advanced directive.

When she talked to the charge nurse of the OR, it was fine and she got info but K was mentioning it on facebook.

One of her friends replied with:

I'm so sorry about that. While I don't agree with gay marriage, I DON'T think that you should not be able to get information about the one you love. I hate that you can't find out what's up with Kathryn. My prayers are with your family.

I wanted to say, hey, judgy bitch, getting information in medical situations is one of many reasons that the desire for gay marriage exists. Perhaps her friend shouldn't be allowed to get married either.

Essentially she is saying I like gay people just fine as long as they are friends of mine, but other gay people are icky and don't deserve rights.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

At least it's a toe inside the door of her position. A couple more 'education opportunities' like that and she might be forced into really thinking about what and why.

Yeah, and if you can go through all the paperwork (medical power of attorney, etc.) and STILL not get the message across to the staff? Sheesh.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I bet most people don't know who cook is by name.

Aj Cook isn't at the bottom of the list. She's just where I stopped typing. The list is 50 deep, and ends with Marlene Dietrich. AJ's above Vanessa Williams, Lucy Liu, Rosario Dawson, Jennifer Lawrence, Dita Von Teese, Christina Hendricks, and Salma Hayek, among many others.

I'm not sure what that smarmy friends thinks gay marriage is for...so you can move in together and have sex and raise a family together maybe? Gays should do that. Society would collapse! Or is it that you can't get respect while you do so?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I've never seen one so slow. I guess that's what you get when you get the cheap one.

That was a plot point on Scrubs, the cheapest pregnancy tests being slow.
