Buffy? I like that. That girl's so hot, she's buffy.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Glad the stone is passed, Kat. Hope they don't come back.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Because I old swear it did a better job on my old phone than my current.

From reading the Swype features page, it looks like they *are* integrating the stuff I was saying would make a big difference (predictive typing), but they don't mention learning your gestures, so I'm not going to bargain on it being there.

However, it's not a given that the version on your current phone is more recent than the version on your previous one. It has weird licensing and atypical distribution.

I'm not sure that I'm using a version with half the stuff on that page, because I haven't seen configuration options for all that, but I'll go look.

Okay, people recommended A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints, and it has Shia and Channing as leads? Oh, there is not enough RDJ in the world to make this okay, unless he's in my room (and playing footsie with JGL). It looks precisely like the kind of movie I can easily dismiss as navel-gazingly self indulgent if there isn't enough charisma in the characters with the most screentime. And...yeah.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Faire was fun. We got to see the performers we wanted to see(The Rogues, Wine & Alchemy, Wolgemut and The Pyrates Royale) and one act we didn't know would be there (PInt & Dale). Lots of good music, and a lovely day for being outside.

Very sad about the baby panda.

Not sad but frustrating: sewing class on how to sew knits. Slippery bastards!

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Yesterday was our fall karate tournament. I didn't compete this this (frelling asthma) but CJ competed in 4 events. He placed third in kata (forms) and the demo team also came in third. But the highlight of the tournament was that CJ got to help judge some of the kid events in the morning. He earned his red junior instructor belt a few years ago and has helped at tournament before. But in the past it has been checking tickets or guarding out of bounds areas. This time he was cornering (keeping track of the bracket/score and being an extra set of eyes) during sparring. He also got to help judge kata. Each time he was with senior Senseis. I was so proud of him.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh, huh. I saw that before I knew who Channing Tatum was. And yeah, no, nsm.

Oh, so I had an interview scheduled for Tuesday, and I already told my boss, and now they have to reschedule! The good news is, I just told her walking to lunch so I think if I make it Thursday, she'll figure that's what I said originally.

The real question is, for an interview with a headhunter, should I wear a suit, or can I just wear a nice dress?

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

Headhunter for what kind of position?

Because books.

Doesn't it matter more what kind of job you're looking for, Jesse?

Because books.

Emmys: I love Martha Plimpton's dress. And Hayden Panettiere is not old enough to call Maggie Smith "Maggie".
