So, Grace is feeling better. She wanted to get dressed so I put her in pants and a tshirt and underpants (she's been in pullups for the duration of hospital time since they were pumping her full of IV fluids). We were watching Arthur and she was sitting on my lap while we were in her bed. I asked if I could move and she said yes.
So I moved. Then 3 minutes later, she's signing wet and dirty because she had peed. Thank god she waited until I moved, but why didn't she tell me before?!
Also, we were walking around the floor and I set off the alarm that tells people someone is stealing a kid. We weren't that close to the elevators!
Also, my kids have NEVER had one of those alarms before, not even when they were infants.
What is a mojito set?
Apparently it's like, glasses, and a little muddler stick thing, and a shaker/strainer deal.
I'm betting even chocolate or pineapple mint would be good, but yr bog standard mint from the store works.
Today for beach day I'm serving homemade margs made with chipotle infused tequila, homegrown mint syrup, and fresh lime juice.
Ooh, that sounds delicious. Is your mint syrup just mint infused simple syrup?
I am bumming out because my kayaking outing today just got called for storms.
I need to step away from facebook arguments that are going nowhere. I think we're arguing about whether or not polygamy and/or divorce are a threat to "traditional marriage," but he keeps redefining terms so often that I have no idea what he's talking about anymore.
Timelies all!
I'm sorry for your loss, Theo.
Ran into Sox in the elevator last night.
Chicagoistas- is Lincoln Park a nice place to stay? Looking at a hotel in that area, don't know if it's a good geographic choice or not. (this is the place: [link]
That looks like a good location. It'll be a little bit of a walk to the L, but you've got the zoo, North Ave beach, Old Town, and Second City fairly close. Steppenwolf and Goose Island aren't too far away either.
Several major bus lines go by there too.
