Spike: Heard what happened up top, offing your dad and all. Don't know if you know this, but, uh…I killed my mum. Actually, I'd already killed her, and then she tried to shag me, so I had to-- Wesley: Thank you. I'm…very comforted.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Several major bus lines go by there too.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

excellent! Thank you guys. I put up a post on the F2F thread about our trip... I was able to make a super freaking early reservation at Girl & the Goat on Friday... afternoon, really, at 4:30pm (!!!!!), but I was thinking about maybe doing some good beer pubbing afterward, if anyone is interested? Saturday is pretty flexible too.

I'm definitely in. There are a lot of options near G&G.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I was sad about having to miss the Chicago Worldcon (which is on right now) because I'd also have to miss Chicago. But then I couldn't do it anyway because of The Project What Goes Live This Weekend and then Mom's death, so even if I'd gone I'd be either leaving early or guilty about being there.

Conclusion: not one of my better weekends.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I'm sorry, Theodosia. You'll have to come visit at a time when it can actually be fun and relaxing for you.

Heard some teens in the alley, talking trash. But what caught my attention was the unusual topic: "Yo, those fuckin' armadillos carry leprosy,yo! They curl up like a ball, and they are like TOUGH fuckers, yo!" They were very animated.

I've heard odd conversations out there before, but this was a topic I was least likely to expect.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I'm rather tickled that he's apparently been gnawing on a rolled-up armadillo.
