"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

What kind of mint is in mojitos?

I like organic spearmint best.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Matt, I avoid Teen Wolf fandom. It was easier before my dash got infected between the first and second seasons, where it was just something I liked. But S2 made me like it so much more, and the same thing happened to my dash...along with seasoned fandom veterans acting like 12 year olds. So I'm no doubt behind on a huge amount of stuff most fans know. Just stitching it all together.

Jeff Davis is gay, and since he's apparently on record as making the show post-issues, so if this is show-related, it's disappointing. But I'm pretty sure MTV doesn't care about issues and being post them.

Unrelatedly, I can't work out if the strange burning taste when I brush my teeth is the electric toothbrush giving up the ghost or it's the toothpaste switch. Tea tree and cinnammon is weird, but mint is a random migraine trigger, so I'm trying to find something not sweet and not minty.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

So, Grace is feeling better. She wanted to get dressed so I put her in pants and a tshirt and underpants (she's been in pullups for the duration of hospital time since they were pumping her full of IV fluids). We were watching Arthur and she was sitting on my lap while we were in her bed. I asked if I could move and she said yes.

So I moved. Then 3 minutes later, she's signing wet and dirty because she had peed. Thank god she waited until I moved, but why didn't she tell me before?!

Also, we were walking around the floor and I set off the alarm that tells people someone is stealing a kid. We weren't that close to the elevators!

Also, my kids have NEVER had one of those alarms before, not even when they were infants.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

What is a mojito set?

Apparently it's like, glasses, and a little muddler stick thing, and a shaker/strainer deal.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I'm betting even chocolate or pineapple mint would be good, but yr bog standard mint from the store works.

Today for beach day I'm serving homemade margs made with chipotle infused tequila, homegrown mint syrup, and fresh lime juice.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Ooh, that sounds delicious. Is your mint syrup just mint infused simple syrup?

I am bumming out because my kayaking outing today just got called for storms.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I need to step away from facebook arguments that are going nowhere. I think we're arguing about whether or not polygamy and/or divorce are a threat to "traditional marriage," but he keeps redefining terms so often that I have no idea what he's talking about anymore.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I'm sorry for your loss, Theo.

Ran into Sox in the elevator last night.

Chicagoistas- is Lincoln Park a nice place to stay? Looking at a hotel in that area, don't know if it's a good geographic choice or not. (this is the place: [link]

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Pete is still appalled that my parents gave me a crime brûlée torch for Christmas.

Love this typo.
