Now we're saving a vampire from vampires. I got two words for that -- Nuh and uh.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Happy birthday, meara and Jen!!

So glad smonster and Nora and Tom are doing ok. Stay safe, y'all.

DUDE! someone is going to be at my house doing stuff today! stuff that will make my life easier and give me more free time.

This is the best thing ever. Yay!

OMG, y'all. Today has been a day. Between a horrible accident and construction it took me 1 1/2 hours to get to school. I was supposed to be here by 7:25 for bus duty. First period starts at 7:40. I walked in right at 7:40. I called my fabulous coworkers who took my bus duty, got my room open, and kept an eye on my 1st period class. AND, covered for me with the office because of course today was the day they tried to get ahold of me all morning. My coworkers are wonderful.

Create tents, wrap hardware, etc. Doesn't help with water in the wall, but for puddles and drips.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Officially over this storm. Starting to get stir crazy, but otherwise all is well. Except for my 504 exchange cell not making or receiving calls. Is OK, though, Tom's still works. (Still has old 978 exchange.)

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Gotcha.

Should I tell my landlady about the leak now or wait? Can't decide.

Yep yep yep.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

My parents have no power, but no street flooding.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Listening to NPR report from the parishes south of NOLA was worrisome with water already over levees and at least 12 more hours of rain expected.

I heard that on the way in this morning, too. So the first thing I did when I got to work was to check in here and FB to see if smonster and Nora and Tom had checked in.

More stuff I can't say on fb - it is a bit weird to be "the person I know in NOLA." I mean, I am so greatful for all the well-wishes, but boy am I hearing from some people I haven't heard from in a looooong time. And odd to know that my timeline is being watched in a way that it isn't normally. NB: I am absolutely not talking about my Buffistas! Y'all are my peeps and my family.

I don't know if I'm being clear. It isn't bad, and I'm not judging, just an odd feeling.

The water over the levees is in Plaquemines Parish, which is a coastal parish.
