You go, Liese. Sounds like a good trainer.
Dishes done, ice cubes and water bottles freezing, weather radio set and batteried, flashlight charging in wall, checked other flashlight, A/C cranked, more water bottles in fridge... I think it's time to shower and go to bed.
Pretty sure we're not working tomorrow? I tried to call my boss and he didn't answer.
I hope I can give Frankie a good walk tomorrow before it starts raining. Meant to buy puppy pads... I wonder if Belladoggie will be open in the morning. Hmm.
God, I know there's more stuff I need to do. Just going to try and do it tomorrow. The only errand I need to run is to the bank for cash, and maybe get the aforementioned puppy pads. I wonder how much cash I should get... a couple of hundred, I guess?
le nubian, I should stay right where I am--Honolulu!
well, la-di-da!
Yeah, she's awesome. The SO lost 40 pounds with her.
Sounds like you're doing good, smonster. The trick will be concluding that you've done all you can and waiting. What time is it supposed to make landfall?
Anyway. I didn't die. I have sore muscles. I don't feel terrified about it anymore. So I guess that's good?
Yay, Liese! Go you! And go with the muscle-building!
Dog won't eat. Sigh.
What time is it supposed to make landfall?
Tomorrow evening, looks like. Rain predicted to start around 5 am tomorrow morning, getting bad around noon or so.
hope it's a whole lot of nothing, New Orleans folks!
smonster, should I call you in the am or not? On the assumption that work is off because Isaac, I'm gonna default to NOT unless you tell me to.
Zen, yeah, don't call. I'll set an alarm for 6:30 or so to check in with my boss, but I really doubt we'd work unless it's weatherizing his house.
I wish I could stay here in Hawaii! But I am on a flight out tonight. Because I needed to be home in time for my flight Wednesday, see...
hope it's a whole lot of nothing, New Orleans folks!
Well, it's definitely going to be a whole lot of rain. I choose to believe this will be a good test for the new levee system and it will come through beautifully.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
