Wait--is wearing a tux to a lesbian wedding risky if you don't know what the brides are wearing? If I don't go with a black tux, is it still too too? Maybe? I have no idea if either of them are butch.
Tux jacket with short black skirt. Or long black skirt with a wicked slit.
I have some abnormal suits (recruiters no love me), but they're not festive. In my head, tuxes are festive. That's why I was thinking of one. I have to say, I can't afford a suit that will look snappy enough for what my muffin pan deserves without stepping all over the boundaries.
I'm not sure where to ask the questions the past couple days of tumblr Teen Wolf fandoms have raised with me:
A lot of shippers are queer. In fact it is probable that the majority of people who ship same sex pairings are themselves members of the queer community
Really? When did this become accepted? I thought the question was why do straight cis women get their jollies from two penises? When was this change supposed to have happened?
And, honestly, the point that "I'm bi, so I'm campaigning that one of the characters is revealed to be gay, and to ignore that and campaign for more screentime and a relationship time for the established gay character would be bi-erasure"
Can you erase things that aren't canon? I can see where canon could go there...but it's not there. And all you people yelling for man on man don't want him to say he's bi and sleep with a woman, you want him to say he's bi, sleep with a man, and totally ignore the guy who said he was gay early in the first season and got maybe one dance out of it.
Just say you like what you like, because the political shadings you're trying to give things are awkward and maybe even embarrassing.
I don't think I'm ever going to understand Tumblr.

Uh, to severely understate things, I think that's a stretch. Unless this person is identifying people as queer
for them
because they ship same sex pairings?

Or not a tux jacket, but maybe this sort of jacket: [link]
It seems like Tumblr is full of 14 year olds who think they're inventing fandom*. Weirdly, I can believe that within the very narrow confines of Tumblr-fandom, a lot of those girls identify as queer.
* That we** exist seems to kind of freak many of them out.
** I include myself in that "we" even though I am far from a fannish elder because I was online before some of them were born.

The Tumblr meme of "reblog if you're over 16!!!" will never not be funny to me. Kiddos, I have shoes older than some of you.
I think that might be key--focus the jacket, with just cami stuff underneath.
My eyes roll at a lot of this, because YOU ARE OLDER THAN THIS. YOU KNOW BETTER. FEW FANDOMS ARE PREDOMINANTLY QUEER, Not the ones we're talking about anyway.
I wore my pewter ballgown skirt to the last one. I wonder if the bubble gum pink one still fits.

Oooh, that sounds like a good combo. Bubble gum pink skirt and awesome black tux-like jacket.
I think I'm going to start adding long skirts (and petticoats) back into the daily wardrobe, come autumn. I've been seeing a lot of them I like, lately.

Oh, absolutely. But some of the TumblrGirls have a very limited sense of the larger fandom ecosystem.
