I am so excited about Curiosity!
Lori is doing something since she worked on it. She's very excited.
Noah locked the one bathroom door we have with everyone on the outside of the bathroom. Even though we only have one bathroom. ARGH.
I love my gas stove, except that it has three pilots and the window A/C unit in the kitchen doesn't work.

I'm excited that I know someone who worked on it!
Yikes. Olympics: watching that Canadian vaulter just made me wince. That fall looked painful, and I wonder what was going through her head when she started running for the second vault and then balked.
Gas makes me nervous
Gas also makes me nervous, and I hate gas ovens. The heat is uneven, which screws up baking. Also, you have combustion products indoors, which exacerbates asthma. At least the stoves without pilot lights emit less.
eta: I felt so sorry for her, Hil.
Hil, She injured her ankle.
I much prefer gas to electric. I have not lived in a house with an electric stove in over 20 years either. It's one of the things that matters to me when we look for new places (another is water pressure).

Ditto!!
Holy crap, that vaulter is 37. (The German originally from Uzbekistan, I mean.)
