WRT Becks, But he did get to drive the boat on the Thames! That's something, right?

Natter 70: Hookers and Blow
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
It certainly is something.
Went to the bank and the supermarket, forgot to return my book to the library, and met a nice old couple who came over from London to escape the Olympics and were devestated to learn that Filene's Basement is gone.
The Queen's like a hundred and fifty and it looked like she had to stand for several hours during the ceremony. I don't blame her for not being exuberant.
Man, ffing through lots of v-ball. Hoping for dressage. Meanwhile, my livestream: sound is working but picture is not. Annoying.
Updated flash - still no video. And yet I get the ads that run before the livestream. (Eventing is done for the day. I'm hoping I'll be able to watch the replay since it wasn't on tv AT ALL.)
The Queen looks exactly like a slightly paler version of the beloved grandmother I still miss every day; she can smile or frown or do anything she wants, I still get unreasonably happy/misty whenever I see her.
Does anyone know where I might find a decent video of the opening ceremonies? We Tivo'd them, but when we played them back they were totally pixellated and jagged and frelled - just that station; everything else was fine. And I just started poking around YouTube, and all the videos I can find are only slightly less wretched. All the other videos look swell, but the opening ceremonies look like they've been recreated in Legos. I don't want an army of Lego Mary Poppinses, I want to see the real thing(s)!
And thanks for the heads-up much earlier, tommyrot. It looks grim.
Man, I tried to send a complaint to NBCSports.com - the thing you type to proof you are human? Won't come up for me so they won't accept my complaint.
Well, they're going to air 1 hour of dressage starting at 1:45 on NBC Sports.
And 1 hour tomorrow.
I hope that's for real. (It came from the USEF website.)
Well that's one way to make your customer service record look good, make it impossible to file complaints.
Dressage is supposed to be airing after table tennis, in about an hour, on NBCS (whatever that is, it's up in the 600s on DirecTV), I don't know if that means anything for streaming or if that is time zone dependent or what. If you can get the streaming to work. How aggravating!
My cable is back this morning. I'm confused, but watching tennis.
