Good lord indeed. That all sounds like crap, msbelle.
I was thinking about the person who cleaned our old place. One day I came home unexpectedly while she was there and her three kids were with her. She was abjectly apologetic and I kept telling her it wasn't a problem.
Kids make things complicated. There have been days in the school year when I've had to take Grace or Noah to work with me. It is nigh impossible to keep work separate. I don't know how the new CEO of yahoo will be able to do it. Even with all the nannies money can buy.
Yeah, my gut is the document would not hold up in court AT ALL. Therefore the only reason to have employees sign it is to intimidate them and/or diminish their understanding or their rights. Not great management in my mind, but seems to be a pattern here, at least recently.
2)agreement to never sue and settle any and all disputes through arbitration
Yeah, I don't see that holding up. You can't negotiate your way out of complying with state and federal labor laws. I'm pretty sure that if they don't pay you overtime, they can't insist you settle it through arbitration.
Just sent in a bunch of pre-employment forms.
I read that today is National Vanilla Ice Cream Day.
Wednesday is National Hot Fudge Sundae Day.
Coincidence?
I bought a new car that is too expensive.
This is insane, but it makes me feel like I need to lose weight and wear better clothes to drive it.
I saw the pix on FB, Allyson; it's very shiny and muscley! you should go on, oh, a cross-country demon slaying expedition in it. Is it gold? What kind of car is it?
Apparently, today is also National Hot Dog Day? So...this weeks is National Kid Summer foods week?
