Saffron: You won't tell anyone about me breaking down? Mal: I won't. Saffron: Then I won't tell anyone how easily I got your gun out of your holster. Mal: I'll take that as a kindness.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

"Mommy, I'm having difficulty getting comfortable."

Hee! I am ALSO having difficulty getting comfortable! Due to it being fucking hot in here. I bet my new apartment will be less hot.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Oh, boo, Noah! I feel you. However, since my work anxiety motherfucking climaxed in a big real way, I'm assuming I'm good to go for a couple nights.

I sent my sister a long wangsty email about my meltdown, and she emailed me back the following, verbatim, two and a half hours later:

Did your nipple piercing hurt? Answer now.

Seriously, where is the fan friend to send her NC-17 pictures? In fact, that mashup of porn guys and cheesy instrumentalists--that would be perfect.

Anyone want to be my fan friend mule?

When are you moving, Jesse?

Noah and Grace's room is hot (our whole house has been warmer than I'd like this week, but it's been in the hundreds and weirdly humid) because of Grace's machinery. In the old place, her machines were in the laundry room and the tubes fed through to her bedroom. In this house, they are underneath the bed and they generate a lot of heat.

August 3, I hope. If not, August 1.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

It is freaking hot here. I turned up my air conditioner and HAVE to remember to return it to its normal setting before I go to bed.

I did have a successful day out. My free time lately has been spent going to local businesses and asking for silent auction donations. CJ's search and rescue team is having a 55th Anniversary event with a silent auction. We are hoping that this event will cover our fund raising needs for the year. I can only do a few at a time before I hit my "taking to strangers and asking them to give me something of value for free" max. I did get an $80 bike tune-up and a $25 gift cert to the local pizza/pub. Also got leads on a few more. I'll count today in the win column.

Speaking of the team, they are out this evening on an evidence search. I don't know where or what they are looking for (the rumor is that it is a gun). I'm looking forward to whatever story he comes home with.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

We're watching a collection of 30's cartoons and there were two mice in a toy shop using all the toys to fend off a stray cat.

Me: Oh, they're fighting that kitty off with toy soldiers.
Matilda: And the kitty didn't even do anything! He just tried to eat them!

I have to say it's so cold and foggy in SF right now, that I'm wearing a long sleeve shirt and a flannel shirt over it.

ita, I'm sorry I didn't say anything earlier when I caught up, but your trauma today was really....awful. You got caught in a shit sandwich.

Kat, any possibility of putting a unit in the kids' room? Well, only if they care. Some kids can be weirdly resilient in the face of heat. Or at least not care much. I was not one of those kids (prefer the heat, but if it was dry and I had a fan I could deal. Cold, I was a whiny mess.)

I'd actually take my weather this month and all the sweating I've done over having to wear long sleeves in JULY. That's just wrong.
