I'm hiding from the outside again today, as we merrily set a record high for the day. I'm thinking of becoming a creature of the night.
It's now sunny here in DeKalb.
Looking at the radar, the main part of the cell has already passed. I think I just caught the northern edge of it. The Trib is reporting 150,000 with no power. Where I am I think it just blew all the construction dust into the lake.
It's probably gathering strength over Lake Michigan before it hits places further east.
How much cooler is the night?
Around here it didn't get much cooler, but at least it wasn't in the 90s.
I really hope we don't see that 8 hours from now... It hasn't broken 100 here yet, but the humidity is way up there. Even the cats didn't want to stay out on the deck when I gave into their whines and let them out.
