I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Man, I want a Blizzard Force.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Me, I'm thinking a vacation on Hoth is sounding really good right about now.

brillig

I predict a bad week in the insurance adjuster support industry. And it's a holiday week so we're short-staffed. Yay.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I'm hiding from the outside again today, as we merrily set a record high for the day. I'm thinking of becoming a creature of the night.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

It's now sunny here in DeKalb.

Looking at the radar, the main part of the cell has already passed. I think I just caught the northern edge of it. The Trib is reporting 150,000 with no power. Where I am I think it just blew all the construction dust into the lake.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

How much cooler is the night?

Around here it didn't get much cooler, but at least it wasn't in the 90s.

I really hope we don't see that 8 hours from now... It hasn't broken 100 here yet, but the humidity is way up there. Even the cats didn't want to stay out on the deck when I gave into their whines and let them out.

My Y has power. Leaving to swim shortly.

Art Crawl!!!

They're predicting that in IL it's supposed to get down in the 70s tonight. I hope that they are right.
