I decided to use stuff up in the fridge and wound up making some seriously delicious orange-ginger ice cream. (1 pint heavy cream, about half a jar of marmalade, 2 oz ginger syrup, some corn syrup, some sugar, enough milk to bring the whole thing to 4 cups. If if tastes half as good tomorrow as it did right out of the ice cream maker, I may not share any with my kids.)

Oh, that sounds super awesome. I think I have everything at home to make that except the ginger syrup. I feel that I need ginger syrup in my life.

Do you have ginger in your life? You can just dump in a bunch while making simple syrup and there ya go.
Is that all it is? That's so awesome. I love ginger.
We had grilled shrimp, grilled asparagus, and linguini with a white wine garlic lemon sort of sauce that turned out ok. AM STUFFED.
Dinner tonight curried tofu, wheat gluten, broccoli, onions, peppers, pineapple, sweet potato. Part of a continuing theme in my cooking: 5 ingredients or fewer my ass.
Lights just came on across the street! I hope this means my Y opens tomorrow (in addition to my neighbor's comfort!)
Dinner for me was some bacon sauteed up with half a bag of TJ's chopped kale. NOM.
Oh, and then some of the Jimmy Kimmel's flavor B&J's ice cream. NOM NOM.
Timelies all!
Posting from one of the open filk rooms at Concertino in lovely Boxborough, Mass. I'm pretty sure our house lost power yesterday, but we won't be home until Monday. I hope the cats have retreated to the basement. Also hoping we won't find a fridge full of spoiled food when we get home.
I had mediocre Chipotle for dinner, but I did get to see this: [link] If it plays near you, YOU MUST GO SEE IT.
