Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Posting from one of the open filk rooms at Concertino in lovely Boxborough, Mass. I'm pretty sure our house lost power yesterday, but we won't be home until Monday. I hope the cats have retreated to the basement. Also hoping we won't find a fridge full of spoiled food when we get home.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I had mediocre Chipotle for dinner, but I did get to see this: [link] If it plays near you, YOU MUST GO SEE IT.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Dinner, huh? I think I forgot.

Reading a magazine at the ER. I think I've worked out where my sleep psychologist got her degree. Same place this doctor did:

Think about being sad or upset. Where in your body do you feel that? Yes, your heart.

Thanks Glamour magazine.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Although I feel that procrastination saves me from spending too much time on a show, boy do I have a lot to do today.

I have been watching Glee and OMG! Did Quinn have some sort of mental breakdown that she just got over between episodes?

I'm packing Casper to send her to sleepaway camp today. But only for 2 nights. It still feels kind of like a big deal. I think she's going to love it. Except for the high of 98 with intermittent thunderstorms part.

brillig

Just wandered through Post Secret on my usual Sunday morning blog trawl before work. I wonder how many advertisers drool helplessly at the thought of all those clicks they can't take advantage of.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Still without power. Posting from a local cafe, and I use the term "cafe" loosely there. (It's a greasy-spoon connected to a gas station. I'm surprised they even have wifi.) I'm gonna hafta either go to my sister's place (has power, also has cranky niece) or check into a cheap hotel with good internet, if I want to get any work done tomorrow.

Leaning toward peace-and-quiet at hotel.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Go, Casper! I loved camp.

I have been watching Glee and OMG! Did Quinn have some sort of mental breakdown that she just got over between episodes?

Yeah, pretty much.

Zenkitty, I vote hotel. I forget where you are, exactly, but I would look at Hotwire and then go to Priceline and put in a lower number.

I wished I was in a hotel last night, because my a/c is noisy and my cat was poking my face constantly all night. I would love one solid night of good sleep.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm trying to work out what this style of necklace: [link] is called. Image googling "breastplate necklace" gives decent but not convincing results. There are also a lot of results that aren't the specific rows of parallel beads in a slight or perhaps pointedly segmented vee shape.

Unsurprisingly, there is a fair amount of "ooh, add feathers and it's TRIBAL" hits too.

And...I'm having the dosage argument again. Apparently it's "not in my file". Since December. Which...my migraine specialist called the head of the ER. He restated his recommendations. I was admitted so they could monitor me while giving the recommended dosage and gave it the all all clear.

I can't look in my file. All I know about what's in it is the contradictory things people tell me. I don't know who can read and who can't.

And I know the previous nurse who wouldn't tell me the footage was being cagey. Are you allowed to keep that info from an adult in charge of medical decisions? Good luck hoping for a placebo effect.

I'm really not sure what I'm supposed to do here. I keep following the steps, but it's a dead end.
