Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I glued to the news again, which is preempting all programming today. I remember the Oakland Hills fire and just watching that with this gut wrenching feeling. That is how I feel watching the news. I'm not close enough to any of the fires to see flames but it doesn't matter.

I've sent a text to Stephanie to check in on her but not response yet.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Thanks, everyone, for the birthday wishes, which I am working hard to transmute into fire-containment~ma for the entire state of Colorado (note to Scola: imagine me somewhat like this).

My sooper-seekrit birthday present for Hec just arrived, and it looks totally amazing. I only finished plotting it out and ordering it on Monday; I can't believe it got here in time. I am bouncing with squee and will have to restrain myself from shaking him awake and making him open it at exactly 6:01 AM tomorrow.

Now tagless for your comfort.

flea, that's worth a do-over. Or at least a large glass of wine.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Happy birthday, wonderful jz! I can't tell you how much I look forward to the wisdom and humor and deep kindness in all of your posts.

What Scrappy said.

Really, happy birthday. You are one of the most wonderful people.

And, Cash, I am glad your mom has such excellent odds.

We should work on CancerBegone. Like Oxyclean for cells that ran amok.

Sadly, I read kind compliments like yours and there goes that voice in my head muttering, "If I'm the best they can do they really need to meet a better class of people, because I'm not all that and a bag of chips."

It's probably too much to hope that in the coming year I come even close to thinking of myself as all that and a bag of chips, or even just all that. But a bag of chips is *totally* achievable.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Happy, happy birthday, JZ! I will echo what Cass and Scrappy said, because you're one of the kindest people I know.

What is even happening?

I feel like I need to create an Internet Tropes Wiki, and call pseudicide "Pulling a Fast Eddie."

Is it up yet?

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

You are totally a bag of chips, JZ. AND all that, too.

I got an email from my SIL, and they're okay and it's raining. So no worry about them.
