Natter 70: Hookers and Blow
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I have a Mass Effect 3 question that's too trite to ask in Gaming. If you're playing alongside Garrus as a friend, did he take you
to the top of the stations to shoot cans to see who's the best marksman in the universe?
If so, did you win or lose, and why?
Also, if you could explain what you are actually doing as a player to take these steps, I'd be very curious.
And, were any of you bothered with the complications of taking the same physical Shepard through all three games?
Stay safe, Stephanie! That sounds really scary.
OMG, the African nurse that I've had for the past three weeks isn't my nurse tonight, but she came by to check on me when she saw my name was in the system. Since no one else has been to see me yet, she is seeing what she can expedite.
I can believe I thought she didn't like me...she's so nice.
I'm almost done working. One more email to send...Sunday mornings are too complicated...
I can't believe you're working (a) at 5am on a Sunday (b) from the ER. That is madness.
I'm in the office for the usual Sunday shift, and they cleaned the carpets yesterday. And the building reeks of wet carpet. Joy. And we're not allowed to open windows because it's a security risk. Double joy.
I took a call standing outside waiting for the cab, and another one in the ER proper while waiting for a nurse.
Sadly this doctor is undercutting the meds as well as delivering them wrongly. Shame nice lady nurse isn't actually my nurse even though she went ahead and accessed my port anyway. She's on my side. Hopefully this is something I can clear up on the second dose--if they actually let me engage in advocating for my treatment, or alternately they could read the instructions in my file...
Oh, now you're just expecting miracles.
Huzzah! [link] has propagated at least a bit. It's not ready for prime time since I haven't done any styling, and the collection is sparse, but it's a start.
Thank you Amy, for nudging, and Lee for submitting. Hopefully I can at least got it presentable by Monday.
I just found something that might be interesting to other photographers. Wikipedia has a judging process by which users evaluate and briefly critique photos submitted for two roles, quality images and featured pictures. Here are the criteria for QI: [link] and here is a page of evaluation examples for same: [link] I'd really never given thought to how they illustrate their site, and I love reading photo judging. It's so educational.
Featured pictures: [link] are described thusly:
images that the community has chosen to be highlighted as some of the finest on Commons
I was at a party yesterday with a guy who had a fantastic beard and fancy mustache. Total hipster-bait, but I enjoyed it! I do not have a picture of him, however.
ION, I know it's easier for the couple if you order off the registry and have it shipped to them, but for an in-town event, it's not bad to bring the gift in person, is it? I'm just thinking about saving the shipping costs...
Apparently a spring upwelling in the ocean has created ideal conditions for krill, anchovies and little squids and now Blue Whales have come to feast at the buffet near the Farallones.
