Now I did a job. I got nothing but trouble since I did it, not to mention more than a few unkind words as regard to my character so let me make this abundantly clear. I do the job. And then I get paid.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Holy crap, it's mah birfday???

Thanks, nice peoples! There will be sushi later, and then hanging out with friends at our favorite gay-friendly bar. (I tried to describe it in Bitches -- it's not a gay bar whose patrons are exclusively gay guys, or lesbians -- it's basically a neighborhood corner bar that I think is gay-owned; they fly the Pride flag out front, and it has a mellow vibe of everyone's-welcome-unless-you're-a-bigot. A large handful of our friends are queer and/or trans*, so it's a very nice, welcoming place to hang out. They often have a band named Yanni [or Yoni?] DiFranco playing.)

And the Ulta store offers a free brow wax on one's birthday for people who belong to their frequent shopper club (or whatever it's called). So I am going to drive up there and avail myself of that, because my brows need serious wrangling.

Happy birthday!

Marketed and got some more peas. Stopped by my ex-neighbors' new place and delivered some veggies and cilantro-jalapeño hummus and got the tour. Loki got a brief taste of outside while I was unloading the car and is now bemoaning his indoor fate rather loudly.

I should throw in a load of laundry....Or I can sit and listen to the radio and eat my lunch.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Happy birthday, Tep by Tep!

hip deep in pie

Happy Birthday Steph!

I have been to the market, out for breakfast and have hacked away at shrubbery. I get the rest of the day off, right?

I bet the shrubbery votes yes.

I should sweep outside, but the tree hasn't dumped its helicoptery petal things (different than those helicopter brown things) just the polleny stuff, so I just might wait. And hope for a good gullywasher to take care of most of it. Luckily, Anna is down with this plan, so I won't get shamed out of my laziness.

OH! And new neighbor is named Franz. But I still haven't met him. Old neighbors just told me he was really nice and letting them store stuff in the garage for them to pick up today.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Happy birthday, Steph!

I'm feeling a little guilty about calling home. I usually do it Sunday after the ER, now that it's not every two days panic stations anymore. And that's low energy. I called this morning because I hadn't been able to get in touch on Mummy's birthday, and since I hadn't done anything yet, I had spoons.

Very different phone convo. But I am probably going back to Sundays because that almost tired me out too much for my haircut (which I expect to sap everything, but my last cut was pretty shit, and I look like ass, so no more delaying if I want to be able to go among the people).

Ah, well.

I asked my sister to hook my mother's new computer up to the wifi and create her a Dropbox account to transfer her files, and it's by far better response than I got from developers all week at work, and she could have done some of those tasks too...

The status is NOT quo.

Brave is so much better than the previews suggest. It's really a story about parents and children, specifically mothers and daughters. I absolutely loved it.
