"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Argh, buffisat types, stay safe! Or, failing that, heal fast!

Today it was sunny and then rainy and then hailed, and now is snowing big giant chunks of snow.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

In theory, yes. In practice, I've had a bunch of them, thanks to my epilepsy, and this doesn't feel AS bad as many I've had. (I realize that sounds kinda ridic, but.)

It sounds redic in some ways but I know I couldn't have typed what you did when I was concussed. Well, I realized later I was concussed, but no way could I have typed that out during. So long as you are being checked, being careful and promise to go find medical care if there is an indication you need to, I am less freaked.

Amyth, yikes! Really glad you have trusted folks watching out for you.

I wanted to go see 50/50 but then I started crying when my co-worker was describing seeing it last week so I'm thinking I may have to pass on it.

ita, one mass is good, for sure. The period of not knowing exactly what was going to happen treatment-wise was really hard. There are a lot of options, which is good, but meant that for what seemed like a good long while we didn't know which of the three -- surgery, chemo, radiation -- were going to happen and in which order.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Which movie should I see this weekend? Real Steel or Drive?

I might see Drive! And then we could talk about it. I also might see What's Your Number, which you already saw, right?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I also might see What's Your Number, which you already saw, right?

Yes! I'm totally willing to talk about that anytime. Very funny.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

What it says on the tin, right? I think that will be more of what I'm in the mood for.

ION, I totally did a good deed! I put up a note in my building saying I had gotten an extra month, and a neighbor just knocked on my door saying she had never gotten the initial letter! So she had no idea about any of it! OMG.

msbelle, I think you should get a smartphone and read b.org on your five minute walks (walks outdoors are good for you...and so is b.org!)

...I should take a walk outdoors, but that would involve putting real clothes on. Which is one more thing about working from home. The good part is using my own laptop to read the internet whenever I want!

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

man, I am so glad this week is over.

ita, I get daily linkedin requests from people who are on linkedin and the requests ask me to join linkedin. It is very irritating.

also ita, I just spoke to a friend of mine who I hadn't spoken to for awhile. She had a 15lb ovarian tumor. Her oncologist thought she was a goner because typically tumors that size in that location are cancerous. Hers miraculously was not. She has lost 33 lbs as a result of the removal of the tumor and recovery/exercise period.

So crossing fingers for benign for your mom!
