But? There's always a but. When this is over, can we have a big 'but' moratorium?

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I think the most frustrating thing is that this coworker has her office in another building and her server and email is wifi and pretty sketchy, and she has to do things FTF in order to get things done in a timely manner. It's the worst combination.

She's also pulled shit like leaving me a sticky note to discuss a topic with another colleague, asked me to email a volunteer because she'd be out of the office, only to then do both things herself. And it's not malicious or manipulative like our ED, but it's still a timewaste. I just want to take her behind the shed and put one behind her ear. Or mine, maybe.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Yeah, what meara said. I'm a rambler myself but I'm conscious of it and try to rein myself in. You could even do variations on, "I'm sorry, I really need to go do X right now, can you email me your thoughts?" (oops, xpost. oh well)

New Bloggess post! I am so buying those cards. [link]

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

There's also truecar, which I mention because my friend Deb, who incidentally does not herself own a car, works there.

Oh, hell -- I meant to say boo that totally sucks about the car. Jesus. Good luck with... everything.

I'm so out of order with Spooks. It's whenever it's aired on PBS. So I'm watching characters I know have died, cause I saw that last year, but now PBS is in reboot, so... I just want from the latest spot I left off.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

My apologies for my comments earlier.

quester - thanks. K-Bug knows where her dominant genes come from. CJ is very defensive of his dad. I don't think he is willing to see him in any other light. Maybe someday he will get a clue. As long as he doesn't act like his dad, I'm not worried.

For me, KCD just exhausts me. My mom divorced my dad when I was much younger than my kids were when we divorced. I remember when I would fuss about my dad she would say "I got to divorce him, you don't have that option". It used to drive me nuts. Now I understand how she felt. I did divorce him for many of the reasons he is driving my kids nuts.

I watched in order up until an episode I remember clearly, because Ros was, OMG so freaking kick-ass in an icy, icy way. But I don't remember exactly which season or even the surrounding story.

I started with S1 tonight just to see the bad spy again. Aw.

Guys, I need to remember to post about this: my friend, or his friend, is casting a reality show called "Kind of the Nerds." It appears to be an elimination-type show that depends on skills like D&D, computer-building, knowledge of comic books, etc. If you are interested or know someone who is, [link] I can think of at least a few people here who have the relevant skills.

"I'm sorry, I really need to go do X right now

my second to last incident with her had another colleague in hysterics. She knows me well enough to read my body language, and was dying by them time I cut our circular conversation off with "It's lunchtime, I didn't eat breakfast, I'm hungry, bye."

My ED makes me want to pull my hair out. This sweet lady makes me want to smash glass and cut someone with it. I think it's worse that I like her and know that my frustration is borne out of place with no illwill or subterfuge. Being angry and eyerolly at management's incompetence is one thing, but being angered and frustrated by an ally is another ball of wax.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

This is probably not that helpful, but I know that when well-meaning people make me stabby, it's mostly because of me, not them. So usually I can just wait it out and I more or less get over it, and/or develop ways to deal with it.
