Sullivan's not always the most careful reader.
Yeah. He does like a billion posts a day so maybe he rushes a bit....

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

But I mean to lump all of those letters in with the idea that they are excusing? Or that it's even dissent? I don't get it. That has to be really sloppy reading.
I responded that he totally misread my letter and I don't understand why. But like Burrell said, he likely won't respond.
I'll will be very happy to participate in any capacity. (you mean, I'm receiving instead of sending, right?) Especially if the result is TJs yumminess. And then if I don't make it to TJs over the weekend (it's like 1.5 hours from my parents), I won't be crushed.
Right! Cool!
Maybe he's in a place that where he's a hammer and everything looks like a nail.
That, and a lazy-ass reading and response to a bunch of letters some of which had completely different points, regardless of what he thought (or thought he read) of them. I don't read his blog. Is it often like that?
Oh, and Perkins' post prompted me to check, and I am moving to within four miles of a TJ's. It just gets better and better.
ETA: And I don't really care if his blog is always like that or not. I'm extremely grouchy right now, apparently.
ETAA: OK, it's actually eight miles, but that works!
Yay - lucky me!
I have to say, I'm having a lot of fun wearing these new boots. They're a bit too too for the average work day, but fuck all that.
If it helps, Allyson, Sullivan got schooled on Bill Maher over the weekend.
BTW, Allyson, FWIW I think the Kitty Genovese thing has been modified over the years. I believe social researchers no longer think that people stood by and did nothing, rather the tenants in the building did not recognize what they were hearing due to acoustics, etc.
Allyson, great letter. I'm gonna have my kids read it. I'm so happy that I know one of them is a fireman. He already runs toward fires, for reals. I want to say the rest of us are.
Haven't gone to Sullivan's blog and right now I really don't want to.

Yeah, also that he dragged her a pretty far distance, so a lot of people heard something, then looked out the window, and by that point there wasn't anything to see in their line of vision, so they figured it was nothing and went back to whatever they were doing. There was a bar on that block, so yelling on the street wasn't unusual.
