Played with Kaylee. Sun came out, and I walked on my feet and heard with my ears. I ate the bits, the bits stayed down, and I work. I function like I'm a girl. I hate it because I know it'll go away. The sun goes dark and chaos has come again. Bits. Fluids. What am I?!

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Jilli, it's early. Perhaps they are still sleeping?

I am clinging to that faint hope, but I've been contacting the drummer/press person through various means for a week now. I suspect the band decided they didn't want to do the interview, and the drummer hasn't bothered to tell me. sulk sulk sulk

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Kathy, I think dancing and flirting with sexy foreigners is perfectly cromulent (and fun!) way to ease back in...if you want to.

brillig

I didn't get married till 25, and it's been just the two of us. There were some issues re: kids, but I was adamant that we were going to much more financially and living arrangements secure before bringing kids into the mix, and if it didn't happen by the time I hit 30, then it wasn't going to happen. I got a lot of pushback from in-laws, but being unmovable on that was the smartest thing I've done in this life. Trying to cope with pre-teens when Hubby's health collapsed would probably have broken me.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

My friend's band was touring with them, so I thought maybe I could ping him and have him ping them for you, but they just finished their stint, looks like. Musicians can be flaky. Give it some time, it may still come together.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm going to be traveling with my mom, so foreign nookie is off the table

I was gonna say...there are definitely ways, and moms have ways of being clueless when it's in their interest to be so. At least mine does.

I feel like I've joined the 21st century! Sox and I just did a video hangout on G+. Very cool. Almost as good as F2F.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

I am still Facebook friends with most of them, and they're still married. Two of them I'm close enough with to know they're actually very genuinely happy.

I'm really glad to hear that, and I'm sorry if it sounded like I was ragging on your friends.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I definitely want marriage and kids and all that, but I've never really had a long-term relationship. I don't really think I have too many requirements for what future husband will be like -- the one big thing is that he be willing to raise future kids Jewish, since I know that I'm not going to compromise on that one. (Willing to raise future kids vegan would be great, but I've got much more room to compromise on that.) Also, I refuse to date someone who physically recoils when I mention the word "math."

The restaurant I'm at serves mac and cheese pizza. The guy at the cash couldn't assure me it would taste good.
