I have a list of policies and procedures I have to read (after doing the whole company list, now I have to do a new list for the project I'm on). The person in charge emailed me yesterday and said "here's the list and the link to them, you should be able to do them tomorrow, I'll be out, let me know so I can plan the stuff that comes after that". OK, fine. I looked at it and it didn't look too terrible, I did some, and then emailed her and said I should be done today no problem.

And then I looked closer and realized a HUGE FOUR PAGE LIST she had left off, is required and there's no way I can do it all today!! (Especially since first I have to hunt some of them down and they all have crazy long numerical names and version numbers and I have to make sure I have the right one...)

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

wrod wrod wrod. I don't have that kind of courage. All you other brave souls can experience the miracle of nature for me.

Oh yeah. Every new thing I learn about pregnancy makes me more certain I was right not do it. Although I think pregnancy would be interesting, at least, just for the weirdness of the experience. It's parenthood that really scares me. Those terrifying, exhausting 21+ years after the pregnancy is over.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

msbelle, sit ups are good, especially crunches. Push ups and squats are also good. I'd say if you combine those three you will cover a good portion of the basics. And getting in shape will do much to alter your shape, even if it doesn't bring down your weight.

Walking is just as good as running, too, msbelle. Unless you like to run, in which case, go you.

Pregnancy seems like a long, long time ago.

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

Push ups and squats are also good.

Squats are very good for making your quads and bottom more toned.

I am a wimp and avoid push-ups. (I'm still dealing with Monday's delayed-onset muscle soreness from bicep curls, and that's bad enough. I don't want push-up pain.)

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Seriously, office supply store CSR? A half an hour on the phone to override an address that doesn't conform to your standardized database, and then after painstakingly spelling the five words involved, you act surprised it's giving you an error message? I KNOW! THAT'S WHY I'M CALLING YOU!

Okay, I am now doubly woeful at having lost our local art & office supply store.

Walking! One of the (many) good things about the new job is that it'll be about a six block walk to the bus stop.

msbelle, I've had good luck in the past with doing Callanetics to tone up. I imagine that if someone, oh, actually kept doing the exercises, instead of doing them for two weeks, than getting distracted by things.
