Overwhelming? How much more than whelming would that be exactly?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I actually usually eat my potato pancakes with nothing on them. I try to have all the condiments available but then they just sit there, uneaten, while I scarf up the pancakes. Nom.

ita, i hope this ER meeting results in consistent following of your treatment plan. That would be really nice.

Congrats to sj and TCG!

I have successfully poached my first egg! I expected to fail spectacularly and did not, yay. I was inspired by that kale and chorizo meal, but used swiss chard and Spam. Pretty good.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Wait 'til they find out what vodka looks like in its normal state!

Hee.

The gummy thing is old, and also seems completely impractical for bringing to school, but I confess I've never actually seen an alcohol-soaked gummy worm, so maybe they are more solid than I'm imagining.

Rummy bears sound like a recipe for disaster for most.

Bedrest for me would be hospital/high risk unit bed rest probably. Probably not likely to happen. It's more a "if I could do that again, I'd do it differently" thing.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I figure that by the time any kids fad has hit Lifehacker it's both played out and wasn't that big a deal anyway, otherwise you'd have been hearing about it somewhere other than Lifehacker.

What comes first, coverage in NYT or in Lifehacker?

Oh man -- my PITA coworker just gave the head of physical plant a whole song and dance about how his cube is especially cold, so now I can't do the same! For fear of being tarred with the same PITA brush!

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I can see where Pete might have made that association for the hairstyle, Jilli

Okay, fair point.

No on the Big Crazy Hair. It isn't a good combination with your face shape.

Meaniehead. But okay, that's three "no" votes from people who I trust.
