The gummy thing is old, and also seems completely impractical for bringing to school, but I confess I've never actually seen an alcohol-soaked gummy worm, so maybe they are more solid than I'm imagining.
Rummy bears sound like a recipe for disaster for most.
Bedrest for me would be hospital/high risk unit bed rest probably. Probably not likely to happen. It's more a "if I could do that again, I'd do it differently" thing.
I figure that by the time any kids fad has hit Lifehacker it's both played out and wasn't that big a deal anyway, otherwise you'd have been hearing about it somewhere other than Lifehacker.
