The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Now that I have an answer to the cough suppressant question, who wants to help me make a shallow fashion decision? Friday night is a club event for the Vampire Ball. Three bands, and OMG David J. of Bauhaus. It's a a more casual night that the ball itself, and I'm planning on wearing my usual ruffly skirts and a b&w striped blazer. I'm thinking of NOT wearing a hat, and doing my hair like this: [link]

I like that hairstyle, and think it's fun. Pete (who is not going to be at the event with me) does not like it, and says it makes me look a touch matronly. Personally, I don't see that, and think he's a crazy person, but I want outside opinions. Big crazy hair, y/n?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

The potato pancakes were nummy, but I'm still hungry. Maybe I should have gotten two orders--one with applesauce and one with sour cream.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

No on the Big Crazy Hair. It isn't a good combination with your face shape.

I can see where Pete might have made that association for the hairstyle, Jilli: [link]

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Two Florida teens told ABC News' Fort Myers, Fla., affiliate, WZVN, also known as ABC News-7, that drunken gummies are the latest trend in hiding alcohol use.

Wait 'til they find out what vodka looks like in its normal state!

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

isn't the gummy bear thing old news? Like they have been doing this awhile, no?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I actually usually eat my potato pancakes with nothing on them. I try to have all the condiments available but then they just sit there, uneaten, while I scarf up the pancakes. Nom.

ita, i hope this ER meeting results in consistent following of your treatment plan. That would be really nice.

Congrats to sj and TCG!

I have successfully poached my first egg! I expected to fail spectacularly and did not, yay. I was inspired by that kale and chorizo meal, but used swiss chard and Spam. Pretty good.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Wait 'til they find out what vodka looks like in its normal state!

Hee.

The gummy thing is old, and also seems completely impractical for bringing to school, but I confess I've never actually seen an alcohol-soaked gummy worm, so maybe they are more solid than I'm imagining.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Rummy bears sound like a recipe for disaster for most.

Bedrest for me would be hospital/high risk unit bed rest probably. Probably not likely to happen. It's more a "if I could do that again, I'd do it differently" thing.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."
