If you take sexual advantage of her, you're going to burn in a very special level of hell. A level they reserve for child molesters and people who talk at the theater.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I would want to shave everyone too, but I'm guessing the public flag of "this family had lice" is not so good for, well, anyone to announce socially. Which is why one should start out shaved, and then booyah.

I just saw Russell Wong in an Ikea ad. Man, I feel sorry for the guy. He should be in a thing where he's a character, not in 30 seconds pretending he carved a rose out of a turnip. He's so much more than that!

I just sent a hugely ass kissy email to my manager asking if I can help her out of the morass she's finding herself in. She's both underinformed and overinformed, and I feel remiss as the next level down in the org chart if I can't take some of the load off. And, hey, the bonuses have been given, and the raises decided, right? So no way I could be angling for that shit, right?

Dear god, did I just ask for more work? What the fuck is wrong with me? But I feel bad for her, and we all suffer when this piles up on her. It's all around not good.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

In other news. 24 companies have bailed on Limbaugh.

Wow. I never would have thought this would have occurred even a week ago.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I'm just really confused because I thought he'd said much worse before this. Was this the first time he'd said something hugely misogynistic? Was it just homophobic crap before?

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Part of me is like, "woo!!" and part of me is like, "WTF took you so long??" (re: ditching Limbaugh)

Burrell, that is so annoying. Ugh.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I'm just really confused because I thought he'd said much worse before this.

Maybe it just reached critical mass.

Because books.

Limbaugh's whole career is based on making inflammatory statements, but I don't think he ever attacked a non-celeb or pundit so viciously before.

Ugh on the lice, Burrell. We've dealt with it once or twice and it's such a pain in the ass.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

some analysis of the response is that social media is the difference this time. twitter accounts for all the companies have been BOMBARDED (as well as their FB accts). they can't escape it.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I'm just really confused because I thought he'd said much worse before this. Was this the first time he'd said something hugely misogynistic? Was it just homophobic crap before?

x-posty....

Well, AFAIK he's never attacked someone who wasn't a celebrity or politician like this before.

A lot of people are crediting social media for this (and of course social media wasn't as pervasive in years past).

I wonder if enough women were just angry and freaked out already over the recent Catholic birth control kerfuffle, the trans-vaginal ultrasound bill, etc.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Facebook. Limbaugh was used to saying what he likes, and having the ability to control what people say back to him. It's harder to do that nowadays.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Was this the first time he'd said something hugely misogynistic? Was it just homophobic crap before?

I think the turning point is that (a) he said vicious and personal statements about a "civilian" individual, not a faceless "they", and someone who isn't a public figure; and (b) he ran afoul of the same population who responded during the Susan Komen/Planned Parenthood kerfuffle. Women give a damn about birth control (just like we care about breast cancer), regardless of our political leanings, and we don't take well to being called promiscuous for using it.

Also, he so clearly got the facts wrong--in multiple ways--that he looks not just like a bully, but an idiot.
