Maybe a less extreme Jamie Lee Curtis-style pixie cut? It'd still be super-easy to maintain, but wouldn't necessarily scream "on furlough" the way an actual buzz cut would.

Whoa. I never would've guessed this was the actress who played Miss Blankenship on Mad Men.
Hair and makeup - it's a thing.
Jamie Lee's hair is very tempting.
because she always wants to fix things.
yeah, my mom is like this. And my dad is too. So together they make Type AA (or perhaps in battery terms it is a "D")
I recently found out that there are delousing salons where I guess you can take your kids to be combed and shampooed and whatnot for you.
yeah but they charge like 100s of dollars. My friend dropped like a $1000 with Hair Fairies, and another spent about the same for some lady who comes to your house and combs through your hair for you.
Wow! I figured they'd be pricey, but that's a lot more than I was guessing.
Hair Fairies
The Hair Fairies make the lice go away with their magic wands?
They use magic combs and some herbal spray made out of unicorn farts that "melts" the glue that makes the nits stick to your hair. In our house we are going the Rx route and using the alcohol lotion that kills the lice. I might be tempted to then use the magic unicorn fart spray, but no way I'm counting on it as the first line of defense.

That's basically my hair these days, although mine is a bit more spikey on top.
