Glorious kid.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

That's background work for you. Her shot in Mr. Willis From Ohio is similar, in that she can only be identified by the hair tuck. But her appearance on The Practice is all BAM! AIMS TOTALLY IN YOUR FACE! A COUPLE OF TIMES!
Which episode of The Practice? Is it Season 1 because that is unfortunately the only season available on DVD.
For me, there are multiple strands of outrage I have for the trayvon martin situation.
1) that his killer was not arrested
2) that he was killed in the first place
3) that the NRA has pushed these "stand your ground" laws that have been involved in the deaths of 65 people nationwide.
So, it is possible (and perhaps likely) that his killer will never be prosecuted because of the "stand your ground" law, despite the face that what he did clearly seems to most of us a felony. If the killer can claim he felt threatened, that might be enough. Despite the obvious issue that the killer was the aggressor, followed Martin, had a gun, and attacked first.

I just don't understand that. The 911 operator told him not to follow Trayvon. I didn't know anything about the stand your ground laws before this happened, but they are seriously scary.
Ryan: "I'M NOT UNDER OATH!!"
falls down laughing
The Trayvon Martin thing just makes me sick. If Trayvon were white, his killer would have been thrown under the jail. But if he were white, he wouldn't have been killed. This wasn't a case of being killed by a random madman going randomly crazy, this was a deliberate targeted murder based on racial hatred. I cannot fathom how that murderer can go free, can not even go to trial. What fucking country do we live in?
This murderer needs to be arrested. As a human, as a parent, I am just sick about this.
Ryan! OmG - too, too funny.
And yes - the murderer needs to be arrested. . . I read somewhere (NYT?) that high profile local people like the MAYOR want him arrested. WTF? Why hasn't he been arrested?
Incidentally, bad as "stand your ground" statues are, they still are not on z's side. He was told not to confront and did so. "Not retreating" is one thing. Agressively seeking out confrontation is another, even under that law. Ta-Nehsi Coats has been all over this story (as an aggregator, not adding original reporting). This story includes some stuff dealing with the law. [link]
Why hasn't he been arrested?
Because based on current law, it's not at all clear he committed any crime. Which just shows the sickening direction we've allowed the state of law to take.
(Which is not at all to say that, were the complexions reversed, the i interpretation of whether or not a crime had been committed would not be different. We all know it would be.)

I'm not at all sure it will play out that way. But this is exactly where public pressure could in fact have some impact.
Not a lwayer, but the link above suggests that if it does not play out that way, it is abuse of police and prosecutorial discretin, and not valid law. Of course if the prosecutor is pressured into bringing a case they don't want there are all sorts of ways they can throw the case. So public pressure not only to bring the case, but to pursue it vigorously.
