Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I'm sorry, Zen. I hope you can get some rest.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Being concerned is totally legit, Steph.

I know it is

I phrased that so, so poorly. And unintentionally. Really sorry.

If Tim can't grab you more beer, I vote whiskey. Knowing you are absolutely limited to one might not be soothing.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Oh, no! I wasn't trying to respond in a crabby way at all. I was just saying that I do know being concerned is legitimate, and it's weird to me that I'm shocked that I'm no longer blase.

I wasn't put off by what you said at all, and wasn't trying to be cranky back at you.

I have now had the one beer, and it was enough. I have such a low tolerance from living with a non-drinker (because it's just not interesting drinking when I'm the only one doing it) that one beer is enough to bring the mellow.

And I heard from Dad a little bit ago; they're running tests but don't have any results yet, which I expected. They're keeping him overnight, which I also expected. He still sounds fine, and he's in the best possible place to be if his heart is going to get all ornery, so for now I'm going to try to chill.

Actually you weren't cranky at all. I just read exactly what I typed and was a little horrified. At myself.

Sounds like a good plan. I am glad that your dad is in good hands. And didn't drive himself there.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

I hope sumi's doing okay.

brillig

Hubby has driven himself to the ER when he suspected heart issues. The staff are always horrified. He says he knows the progression of his heart attacks and always(!) knows where he is in the time line. The man should not have that big a statistical universe to have an accurate predictive model. Though it's better than One and Done.

Me four. I hope she's sleeping peacefully and not being constantly woken up to get a blood presssure or something!
