Are your memories of him good overall? If you still consider him someone you are on friendly terms with, don't let body image demons stop you from seeing him.
Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I have not yet coped with the idea of someone seeing a long scar where the breasts used to be. I have been avoidy.
Ginger,
I think I am being obtuse. How would he see the scar? Or are you thinking of possible sexytimes?
Well, there used to be sexytimes.
I understand your hesitation, Ginger. If this is someone you have good feelings about I would go ahead and see him to catch up. Who knows what stuff he has dealt with the last 10 years. You will have a better feeling about how much you want to discuss when you actually see him.
Are whether to see him and whether to have sex with him the same issue? Can you see him, and put off the issue of sexytimes until you see how you click today, which may not be the same as then?
Ginger, did you get the impression from his message that "catch up" = "sexytimes"? He may not be in that place any more, and might just want to see you and how you're doing platonically.
You get to decide how you want to interact. If you'd like to have dinner with him, go for it. If you're not ready for sexytimes, that's something that's totally up to you and he has to live with it.
Edit: Personal choice x-post FTW!
I agree with TB. I would find the decision to meet him for a drink or something much less overwhelming than sexytimes.
If Jilli doesn't want the teal, it's yours, smonster.
Teal is not a Jilli color, so it should go to smonster!
Ginger, I think you should meet him for a drink or coffee. Catching up is good, and you can decide if you want things to go farther.
You guys! Today is my tattoo consultation appointment! And if the tattooist has the time, I may get it done today.
Go tattoo!
