I am so very blessed to have an abundance of helpful handy types to help with the dog walking and ladder climbing and vermin cleanup and all sorts of stuff I need help with. They even volunteer to do things for my friends and parents too.
There are lots of people here that run errands, cook, shop, and a such for hourly rates. We have a large senior and seasonal population that really need and utilize the services.
God, I'd hire smonster in a flash as my handy-housewife were she in the area.
So would I! It's not even stuff I *can't* do; it's just that I'm not real good at it, and so I put it off, and so I've been living here for three years and still haven't painted the upstairs bathroom or hung curtain rods in three rooms.
And in all seriousness, smonster, I can't be the only single woman who ever had a bad experience with a workman in her home; I bet that a female handyman with credentials like yours would be in high demand.

What about those "Pick It Up" businesses? People pick up your dry cleaning, do your grocery shopping, let your dog out, pick your dog up from the vet, go get painting supplies from Lowe's, get booze and flowers for a party...stuff like that where you wish there was two of you because you have too much shit to get done.
