[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Dana, very pretty new clothes!

Smonster, the meditation sounds like a good idea. I hope it helps, and I also hope that your dinner is yummy.

So, took a sojourn to my local (ish) Costco because I needed saline solution. I discovered a lovely surprise -- this Costco sells booze! Not just wine, 'neither -- BOOZE. And gas, but that's less exciting.

Yay, booze! And I just had to check because I didn't realize that there were Costcos in New England, but there are still none near me.

This one is pretty close, about half an hour from the house. And it was deserted tonight. I've never seen a Costo that empty.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Yay Costco with booze!

Dinner is pretty tasty! But it came out mostly cornbread with a little bit of greens on the bottom. Oh well, we'll see if it gets me through a workday. Still, it's kind of a miracle it came out at all considering I used creole cream cheese and milk instead of buttermilk, and all purpose flour instead of baking powder.

That is a perfectly cromulent substitution!

Also, how awesome on a scale of 1 to 10 is it that I will hopefully be hanging out with Vortex when I go see my parents in a couple weeks? TWENTY BILLION.

Ooh, we should do something on Mardi Gras!

I can tell you, she will be passed out by 2pm.

I was excited about doing mine, but then I realized I have four W-2s and have to file in two states, and now I'm kind of dreading it.

Oooh, yeah, that sucks. Roomie just came home and I was discussing that sort of thing with her, since she moved here from DC. I think you beat me, though, because the one year I had to file in three districts (DC, Indiana, and Maryland) I only had two W-2s. It was still a PITA I don't wish on anyone, so good luck. Ick. Hope you get a nice refund? I got a nice one....but not as nice as last year when I got the homebuyer tax credit. And now I feel like I should put most/some of it into my mortgage. Sigh. Responsibility sucks.

Awww, Nora and Vortex on Mardi Gras! Tear that shit UP.

HEY. No wait, you're probably right.

I have no idea where to even start with filing taxes for two states. Blecch. I usually do the 1040EZ online.

Thrive to spite them

I talked to Mom tonight, my brother's sick. E isn't sick but kept wanting to play with my brother so Mom got off the phone so she could corral E to bed.

We were talking about cooking and she started telling me about this soup she made the other day -- it's the same soup I'm hoping to make. It's from the Clean Eating magazine (which I got her for Christmas) and she said it was good. It's Chicken with Kale, Sweet Potatoes, and Mushrooms. It's pretty easy - bring stock to a boil, reduce heat, add diced potatoes, simmer, add kale and mushrooms, simmer, add sliced chicken, simmer. I figure I can do that even if I'm sick. Only it doesn't have garlic, so I may add some.

Can you search for your state income tax and see if they have any information ?

I did some searching and discovered that since I qualify for free federal tax filing I'll qualify for free state tax filing through Turbo Tax.
