Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Thrive to spite them

I know, I really thought I was doing well but I realize now I wasn't . I 'm not getting out as much as I should.

I keep telling myself to make progress and even snail progress is better than nothing. Tomorrow i see my therapist and then I'm going to make some mac and cheese I've been meaning to and maybe to go the library.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Moving to a new place is hard. I'm just glad that we're not having the winter we had last year, you can ease into this New England weather thing slowly. Also, maybe when we have recovered from the holiday and heating oil spending of the last couple months we can meet up with you. I'd love to get back to Vermont.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Lots and lots of vibes to you, askye...the winter stuff is bad, and can just sneak up on you and gradually ease its way in until you forget anything was ever any different.

And, gah. Hec just called - his computer is "borked"; he was in the middle of reading Mark Watches when it froze up, and on manual restart it cheerfully made the classic Mac startup bommmmmmmmm but has so far declined to do anything else.

It's an incredibly trivial, first world problem, but if it turns out to be something very bad then it's not anything we can fix or replace. GAD FRADGET FLIB-FLAB BUMPUSSES!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I was being lazy this morning, and teaching this afternoon. And now I'm trying to help students deal with some issues with registering for my classes, because there are two databases that have the rosters, and they're supposed to sync with each other, but I've got two students who are on one roster but not the other, and I don't know why.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

Aw, askye. Sorry you're doing as well as you thought. Hope getting out tomorrow helps.

eta: JZ, I hope it's not bad! noooooo....

JZ, ~ma for an easy and cheap fix for the computer.

beth, did I miss you getting a new kitty or did I just forget?

He was found in the library parking lot about 6 month ago -- he was a little one pound kitten . He is somewhere between 6 and 7 months old . his favorite pasttime is wrestleing with the big boy .

Even the computer can't believe Mark's take on Dru.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I knew that Mark guy was no good! Nothing but trouble!

Dear TCG,

When I told you what was available in the fridge for dinner tonight, I specifically did not mention the leftover bacon and home fries from breakfast because they were mine.
