Huh. Pawpaw differences. My new fact for today.
Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Oh I just checked my town library and they hve the universal classes! sweet.
OMG bored and cold and tired of unpacking and stressed about finishing packing at the other place hurry up people WTF.
So, turns out the head wound isn't acting up after all! Without getting into too much gory detail, what I thought was infection was actually something more like a blister that can happen when the area gets irritated from things like maybe combing my hair or...you know what, nevermind. Don't worry about it! It's fine, and less gross than I imagined. Don't imagine anything! Lalala.

Yeah, the Pawpaws in the folk song are the native North American ones.
Oh good, amyth.
In excellent news, my new place is no longer glacial. In not great news, the gas rep hasn't shown. And customer service is closed, so I have no way to make sure they're coming. I was worried maybe I hadn't heard them while huddling by the heater, but there's not another "sorry we missed you" flyer in the door.
I'm giving them until 8 pm. Oy.
Urgh, smonster!
Hey, when is Historic Green in 2012?

I heart them a lot. Okay, I hugely heart some of their beers, and others are kinda wtf-were-you-thinking, but I give them mega-props for experimenting like the mad scientists they are, and for the fact that the forager series is just that: aside from the persimmon[1] and paw-paw beers, they periodically put out word on twitter along the lines of "hey, do you have way too many figs right now? we're experimenting, and we'll take 'em off your hands..."
They're like the perfect storm of my beer snob, local-foodie, and downtown Durham renaissance tendencies.
[1] a limited edition of last year's winter seasonal. I still mourn that it's gone.
Anyone here ever eat a Pawpaw?
Yes. Kind of...an unholy banana. Like a banana that came back wrong.
t edit The North American pawpaw is the one I had. My grandpa loved them. He also loved limburger and raw oysters. A strange palate, that man.
I'm trying to set up a Lego Mindstorms set, but I've realized that it doesn't work right with a Mac. I found some instructions for how to get around it, but I'm too tired now to deal with that. Maybe tomorrow.
