Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Ooh! I just had an idea. Cupcakes may generate more crumbs but actual cake will require more plates and forks and the washing of same. So if that's still an issue, I think it's pretty much a wash.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I figure we can have plates and forks for people who want to be all fancy. I assume those will be the people who wear shoes.

Compassionately intolerant

I'm right there with ya, Suzi.

It's been a couple of days of minor symptoms, building up to last night...woke up and could not get to sleep for a few hours. Ugh.

Today, I've just got some nausea and weird vision.

Hopefully, it will pass soon for both of us!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH.

New project just dumped a load on me--I was going out next week with someone else, who was going to be in charge, and show me what's what, etc. And would be the one preparing officially for the visit (there's lots of prep work--I would've done SOME, but not as much), and writing the report after. Suddenly, they've decided she's too busy to go, so I need to do it on my own. I don't even fucking know where I'm going (it's an office located somewhere in the midst of an academic center, hard to find), and I'm certainly not ready to do this on my own without ever having done it! And ESPECIALLY not with less than a day notice (we have tomorrow off, and I leave Monday. NOT COOL)

Not cool at all!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I have been arguing with the French railroad website and my credit card company for a while now. The website says that they can't process my order, because the credit card company rejected the charge. The credit card company says that they didn't reject the charge, because the railroad never submitted it to them to begin with. This is aggravating.

Always Anti-fascist!

Is this why French people say "sacre bleu!" cause it sounds like it. Have you ever looked at someone's facebook and wondered if it's possible to be *too* socially conscious?(It's okay if it's mine)

Yes, totally. But then I figure there are people who are FB friends with me (like women I went to high school with) who think *I* am that person for them (although I don't know how I could be, since half of my posts are pictures of the pets and the other half are talking about what I cooked for dinner).

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Just so they aren't the same half.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Have you ever looked at someone's facebook and wondered if it's possible to be *too* socially conscious?

I don't think so. But I have unfollowed that person on Tumblr.

But then Facebook for me is made up of a lot of people I feel like I have to "friend." So we're not real friends, only Facebook friends. Crazypants extended family and people I went to school with but only don't unfriend because we've still got mutual friends that I do like.

But on Tumblr? Totally. I don't disagree with being socially conscious and calling attention to things but some people push it so far that it doesn't feel like a conversation or even an opportunity to think, learn or push comfort zones. It just feels like grandstanding so *they* look The Most Socially Conscious of Them ALL.
