Oh, and Erin, in case it wasn't clearly enough implied in my previous post, they are completely and utterly wrongheaded. You are a great writer, and I am so very happy that you are happy with your current job.

I am not exactly sure what could possibly be a bad thing about getting paid for writing.
Because one is a content mill, and the other... if you're a Real Writer, and Doin' Yer Business Right, you would NEVER have to use Elance!

You could always say "Well, I *do* have other skills, but they'd probably get me arrested."
